Sub-Junior Women's Nationals: Odisha spank Bengal Hockey Association 30-0


Odisha were in a tearing hurry to knock their opponents Bengal Hockey Association down on the pitch and they precisely did that pulling of a massive 30- win in a Pool D  match the 4th Sub-Junior Women’s National ‘A’ Division Hockey Championship being played in Pune,

Elima Minz stole the show firing a whopping triple hat-trick scoring ten times as the Odisha outfit literally toyed with Bengal Hockey Association. Mariana Kujur and Sarojini Ekka joined in the fun pumping home double hat-tricks, while Sarojini Ekka also managed a hat-trick. Dipti Lakra scored a brace, while Priyanka Kujur scored once to script a ridiculously lop-sided win.

In another Pool D tie Chandigarh Olympic Association hammered Assam 18-0. In other games of the day Jharkhand trounced Uttar Pradesh 7-0 in Pool C, while Maharashtra edged Delhi 2-1.

Meanwhile, Bhopal clobbered Tripura 15-0 to reach the semifinals of the 4th Sub-Junior Women’s National ‘B’ Division Championship at Haldwani, Uttarakhand. In another match A Vidarbha Hockey Association pipped Gujarat 2-1.
At the ongoing 4th Sub-Junior Men’s National ‘A’ Division Championship at Ranchi, Mizoram defeated Madhya Pradesh Hockey Association 2-1 while Haryana humbled Chandigarh Olympic Association 3-1. In other matches Punjab routed Uttar Pradesh 5-0 while Manipur hammered Maharashtra 8-2.
