Namdhari XI extended its winning run easing past Rajasthan 3-1 in a Pool A league match – their fourth win on the trot - to seal their berth in the semi-finals of the 4th Hockey India Senior Men’s National ‘B’ Division Championship being played at the Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Lucknow.
Mumbai Hockey Association also reached the semifinals after playing out a 1-1 draw with Jammu & Kashmir. Bihar and Sashastra Seema Bal were locked in an exciting 5-5 draw in a Pool B tie, while Himachal Pradesh edged out Uttarakhand 2-1.
Namdhari XI will face Hockey Gangpur-Odisha in the first semifinal, while Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd will meet Hockey Maharashtra.
Meanwhile, Hockey Gangpur-Odisha and Kerala have entered the semifinals of the 4th Hockey India Junior Women National ‘B’ Division Championship being played in Mysore.
Hockey Gangpur-Odisha routed Assam 8-1, while Kerala crushed Puducherry 9-0. Andhra Pradesh whipped Jammu & Kashmir 6-0. Hockey Gangpur-Odisha will now meet Kerala in the semifinal, while Manipur meet Chhattisgarh in the other semifinal.
