Women’s Four Nations Tourney: New Zealand clobber Chile 10-0




New Zealand women’s hockey team blanked 20th ranked Chile 10-0 to rack up their second straight win in the Women’s Four Nations Hockey Tournament being played in Dublin.

The 4th ranked Black Sticks women had earlier thrashed hosts Ireland 9-2 in their first tie. This was Chile’s first loss after they had won their tournament opener against 22nd ranked Canada 2-0.


The 15th ranked Irish eves shrugged off their big defeat at the hands of New Zealand as they eased to a 5-0 win over Canada, consigning latter to their second defeat on the trot.

The tournament resumes on Tuesday after a rest day on Monday.
