Investec London Cup: Double delight for England



English hockey lovers were thrilled to bits as their men’s and women’s hockey teams clinched the Investec London Cup at Lee Valley in London.

England men prevailed over 15th ranked Ireland 2-1 4-2 on penalties after both teams were locked 2-2 in regulation time. Alastair Brogdon and David Condon scored for England, while Eugene Magee and Michael Darling scored for Ireland. South Africa took the third spot pipping Scotland 3-0.

England women edged 11th ranked South Africa 2-1. Nicola White and Sam Quek scored for England eves, while Jade Mayne scored for South Africa. Scotland beat Wales 3-2 to finish third.
