Korea eves edge out New Zealand 4-3 to win series

Korean eves scraped past New Zealand 4-3 to win the two-match hockey Test series at Auckland. Han Hye Lyoung gave Korea the lead in the 9th minute before New Zealand seized the initiative with goals from Sophie Cocks and Olivia Merry to sew up a 2-1 lead before the Asian giants equalized through Han Hye Lyoung off a penalty corner to ensure both teams were on an even footing at half-time.

Park Ki Ju regained the lead for Korea before Olivia Merry struck for the second time to neutralize the advantage. Korea sealed the issue with a final minute PC conversion by Cheon Seul Ki to bag the two-match Test series.

Korea had beaten New Zealand by an identical margin in the opening Test.
