Rani Rampal dazzles in India’s 5-0 win over Malaysia

The Indian women’s hockey team swamped Malaysia 5-0 in the first of the six match Test series in Kuala Lumpur.

Talented Rani Rampal drew first blood for the Blueskirts  in the 19^th minute while skipper Ritu Rani doubled the lead close to half-time.

There was no lack of intensity from the Indians in the second stanza as debutant Gurjit Kaur converted a penalty corner to make the scoreline 3-0 before Rani Rampal added her second of the day. Ritusha Arya made it 5-0 close to the final hooter to give India a facile win.
