The Indian senior
men’s hockey team will kickstart their 2014 Commonwealth Games preparations
with its national camp commencing in New Delhi from Wednesday.
Two injured
forwards – Ramandeep Singh and Nikkin Thimmaiah have recovered from their
respective injuries sustained on the eve of the 2014 World Cup – and are named
among 33 probables, who will be put through their paces under the watchful eyes
of head coach Terry Walsh, High Performance Director Roelant Oltmans besides
other support staff.
The camp will be
held for duration of seventeen days and the team will depart for Glasgow on
July 12.
