The Indian women’s hockey team settled for a 2-2 draw with Ireland in the third and final Test at Dublin, Ireland. The drawn final game was only of academic interest after India had won both the first two Tests.
The national side is playing the three-Test series to fine-tune its preparations for the FIH Champions Challenge 1 tournament, scheduled to be held at Glasgow, Scotland from April 27 to May 4.
Anna O'Flanagan gave Ireland an early lead before Chan Chan restored parity for India as both teams went into the half-time break locked 1-1. Chan Chan was again in the thick of action netting the second goal in the second stanza as India looked to complete a whitewash over Ireland. Anna O'Flanagan nullified all such designs of the Indians with a 64th minute strike to pull off a 2-2 draw.
India had earlier won the first and second Tests by 3-1 and 2-1 margins respectively.
